When it came to choosing a hair dresser I was nervous, until I sat in Michelle’s chair. In my Indigenous culture, hair is very sacred, and it carries so much meaning when someone is trusted to touch, care for, or cut it. From the moment I sat in Michelle’s chair, I felt nothing but respect, care, and intention in the way she worked with my hair. She doesn’t just see it as a service—she honours the person attached to it. Michelle stands out because she blends incredible skill with her genuine heart. She takes the time to listen, she understands the significance behind what she’s doing, and she makes you feel safe, valued, and beautiful.
